Porkers, ‘02's, A GINETTA??? Awesome! Great shots, is that the Dutch angle you use or is it just up-hill?

According to the entry list it’s a ‘64 Ginetta G4.
Ahh, now I have a name for it: the Dutch Angle! Actually, most of the angle was added in post-cropping. A number of these were shot when the cars were headed up-hill, but the look is very dependent on the angle I was shooting from. So even if they’re headed up-hill, they might be headed straight across or down in my image. Also, of course, it’s dependent on how levelly I’m holding the camera. Mostly, I kept it level. I found that the images were more interesting (more dynamic with a better sense of motion) when they were rotated a bit.

DUTCH ANGLE!!!! It adds drama, I use it all the time.
I had “some” American telling me what it was named though. And it’s actually German ;-)

This event was good panning practice for me. Only the second time I’ve shot racing, so I think I’m getting better over time. I need to keep pushing the shutter speed down. Having a longer lens would help too! The longest I have is a 24-105mm. With a longer lens I could use a faster shutter speed and get more blur. Of course, one of the spots I was shooting was really close, so a longer lens wouldn’t have worked well.

Those early 911s are MONEY!!! I love the dark blue on the #05.
Also, windowless 914 is clearly something I need to explore in 1:64...
Gorgeous shots man!
